Bobalu Cigar Company is based out of Austin, Texas. You can find it right off 6th Street near downtown Austin. Sixth Street is notorious for its eclectic crowd and live music scene, but the most impressive act I’ve seen on that famous paved stretch is “Pedro” the cigar roller at Bobalu Cigar Company.
Every cigar is hand rolled in the shop, you get to follow and watch a live performance of Pedro’s meticulous process of putting together fine cigars. He speaks very little English but explained to me that his life and story all started in Cuba.
