One Of Many Great Cigar Reviews For Bobalu
As seen on http://www.cigarfellas.com/bobalu-cigar/
Bobalu cigar
5×60
Connecticut wrapper
15th anniversary
Pre light: smooth very light wrapper with minimum veins. Well constructed and light toothy feel.
Cut and light: Xikar scissors and torch
First third: Light white pepper and creamy cocoa from this cigar right away. Very nice burn one inch in with a very white ash. This cigar is tingling my nose with its spicey notes and the cocoa must have been a fluke because earthy tones with spice are the real powerhouse flavors here. I love the Texas size cigars from this company and hope to visit Austin soon to be able to meet them in person.
Second third: Burn is still sharp and the spice has mellowed a bit. More of a light white pepper with leather and tobacco now. Still a very solid white ash that is holding on strong. Ash just let go more then half way through. Right as I was typing it was holding strong…lol. still was a great ash. More U.S. small companies should make cigars of this caliber.
Final third: I have enjoyed this cigar so much I just contacted Jeff from Bobalu cigars and spoke with him about his darker line that I am looking to review. Keep an eye out for more of his line. The leather and white pepper are just wowing me. The burn is amazing and I hope to have more soon to enjoy.
